We are pleased to share a pre-print of a paper from Meaningful Measures Ltd, written in collaboration with Volunteer Cornwall and NHS Cornwall and Isles of Scilly Integrated Care Board.

The evaluation used our MYCaW® tool to capture 1,325 concerns identified by 560 residents receiving support from Community Health and Wellbeing Workers across Cornwall. Almost half of the concerns related to social determinants of health, while MYCaW® concerns and wellbeing scores showed statistically significant improvements with large effect sizes.

These findings demonstrate the value of combining proactive, community-based support with person-centred outcome measurement to understand what matters to residents and evidence meaningful change.

We were also delighted to host an MSc placement student from the University of West of England who supported the data analysis for this project.
